The process of delivering a pallet when choosing a pallet courier pick up is a fast one, so it is important to have a well thought through plan prior to the arrival of your courier.
There are 4 ways we advise you prepare for your wooden pallet delivery:
Measuring
It is important to ensure that all the items are able to fit within the dimensions of the chosen pallet, without overhanging across the pallet in any direction. This could cause damage to your load and could affect how many pallets you are able to deliver in one go, which can cause you more time and money.
It is also important to ensure that the weight of the pallet does not exceed the maximum weight capacity of your chosen pallet. This can cause issues when lifting the pallet, which could damage the pallet itself, causing delays to the delivery.
Packing
Individual items are not advised to be packed loosely onto the pallet as this can cause missing items during the delivery process. It is advised to stack your products into boxes to allow you to create a tidy package that can be easily stacked and secured with pallet wrap. This will ensure for quick and easy delivery.
Supporting
Ensuring your pallet is well secured on the pallet is vital for your delivery getting to its destination in one piece. This will make it easier for transporting each of the pallet loads and will prevent any damage to your load along the way.
Timing
Any delivery service is on a time schedule so in order to avoid your delivery not arriving on time, it is advised to execute the system you use. This is to ensure that you are not advising a customer they will receive their load in a certain time frame that you just cannot make.
